Palgrave, Francis Turner

The Golden Treasury - Full Leather Binding, 1862

Published: Macmillan And Co., London

Date: 1862

The Golden Treasury of the Best Songs and Lyrical Poems in the English Language. Selected and Arranged with Notes by Francis Turner Palgrave, Fellow of Exeter College Oxford. Full red morocco binding with double blind ruling to the boards, gilt lettering and five raised bands to the spine, each with double blind tooling to either side, top edge gilt and yellow endpapers. A fine and tactile little binding with some marks to the boards, light scuffing to the spine, boards' edges and corners as seen in photos, and light bumping to corners, but overall in very good condition. With light marks and thumbing throughout the book, foxing to ffep, previous owner's inscription removed but still visible from front endpaper and title page and one page with old tape repair to both sides as seen in photos. With all that mentioned, the book is still fairly clean and firm, I would say a lovely copy with some character to it. 332pp.

Very Good
