Square 4to. xxviii, 402 pp. Publisher’s russet cloth, lettered in gilt to the spine and in blind to the upper board, dust jacket, with loosely inserted a ten line handwritten note from Beckett dated “3.8.86” on a headed notecard. Profusely illustrated. A few minor scuffs to the jacket spine, very good overall.

In the note Beckett thanks the recipient for a previous letter of two weeks prior and expresses his gratitude to O’Brien and his collaborators “for this kindly light of other days”, assenting to the full passage to be directly quoted in the marketing of the book.
