In contemporary speckled calf, corners repaired, edges scuffed. Rebacked preserving original morocco gilt title label, raised bands, gilt tooling. [10], [1], 2-452 pp, [6] index, 73 pls (mostly folding), additional plate (East View of Chestnut Tree) tipped to verso of ffep, endpapers renewed, binders label to fpd (William George's Sons, Bristol), text block edges reddened, some light edge browning, marks to covers, printed by T Spilsbury. A pleasing copy. (42.5*27.2cm). . Title continues: Illustrated with Seventy-Three Copper-Plates, Containing a Map of the County, a Plan and Prospect of the City, a View of the Cathedral, Sixty One Seats, and Three Hundred and Twenty Coats of Arms, of the Nobility and Gentry residing in the County at the Time of the first Publication.
