Engraved title page, dedication leaf To the Right Hon.ble William Petty [Benoit del.et sculp.] List of subscribers names, a Catalogue of Maps in this Book, forty five numbered engraved maps on thirty nine leaves, [including six double-page and folding] “engraved by Mr Kitchin and others”, with outline hand colouring. Bound in half tan leather with buckram, the spine in five gilt ruled compartments with gilt title and date. Ownership inscription “Harlech” on ffep, and a pencil note “World Atlas of 1761 ( before the 7 years war)”.The maps include a folding double-hemisphere world map, maps of the continents with North and South America , the West Indies, England ,Germany, Russia in Asia and in Europe. A Fine copy in a later but pleasing binding.
