FIRST EDITION, FIRST IMPRESSION. 8vo., 13.5 x 21.3cm., red paper wraps with black stamped titles to front and spine 72pp, signed and inscribed by the author to Terence Hards, a fellow poet. The book is well preserved with a tiny crease to the front fore edge corner and slight fading to the spine. All in all a very good example of this a signed copy of this the first collection of Jenny Joseph poems, to include the her most loved poem, Warning, ‘When I am an old woman I shall wear purple /With a red hat which doesn’t go….’ which has been voted, ‘Britain’s favourite post war poem’ and is the inspiration behind the Red Hat Society.
