JANE AUSTEN THE NOVELS in Five Volumes PRIDE AND PREJUDICE SENSE AND SENSIBILITY EMMA MANSFIELD PARK NORTHANGER ABBEY and PERSUASION BOUND IN FULL RED MOROCCO LEATHER BINDINGS with TWO HUNDRED ILLUSTRATIONS ACROSS THE FIVE VOLUMES Published in London by Macmillan, this is a handsome set of the Novels of Jane Austen in Five Volumes the books have been beautifully bound in FULL RED MOROCCO LEATHER BINDINGS titled and decorated in gilt to the spines, top edges gilded, small slim formats, with text printed on thin India Paper, measuring 7 inches by 5 inches approx., internally the books are WELL ILLUSTRATED with TWO HUNDRED ILLUSTRATIONS ACROSS THE FIVE VOLUMES by the artists Hugh Thomson and Charles E. Brock, and fitted with marbled endpapers the books are all from the same set and format but the dates are mixed, dating from 1902-1906-1926-1932 CONDITION the bindings are in excellent condition with only very minor scuffs internally a few foxing marks and light browning, old ownership name stamp of a Gladys Rutherford that appears at the top of the frontispiece to “Sense and Sensibility”, but no other volumes, some light corner creasing else contents generally nice and clean A VERY HANDSOME WELL ILLUSTRATED LEATHER BOUND SET
