Bound in two volumes with full flexible leather bindings, titled and decorated in gilt to the spines and upper boards, and housed in their original slipcase, this is a very attractive thin India paper pocket sized edition of Jane Austen’s novels, with three novels per volume, illustrated with a colour frontispiece to both volumes. The Volume containing “Sense & Sensibility, Emma & Persuasion” is dated 1904 to the main title page, the other volume containing “Pride & Prejudice, Mansfield Park & Northanger Abbey” is dated 1906. The slipcase has some mild edge rubbing, light surface scuffs and minor marks else is in very good general condition, the leather bindings have only a few minor marks, light surface rubbing and mild creasing else in very good condition, internally there is noticeable creases to six pages and lesser ones to the title page and frontispiece to the “Sense & Sensibility” volume, with care these could be flattened out, else contents are clean and in good condition. A Beautifully presented set of the novels in two pocket sized leather bound volumes
