HORAE, [Book of Hours] produced in a scriptorium probably in Northern France circa 1370-1400, use of Rome. Approx 19.1 cm x 13.3 cm ( 7.64" x 5.42"). Each leaf with 15 lines of Gothic Batarde text in dark brown ink in Latin, ruled in plummet, with single and sometimes double line initials in red, blue, and gold, and with elaborate borders, heavily gilt, decorated with leaves, tendrils and fruits, and with line fillers in the same colours. These leaves are unusually large and are in near fine condition.
