8vo. rebound in half calf, marbled boards, raised bands gilt with gilt lettering, new end papers with the book plate of Marjorie Moon. Frontis of William Hogarth, dec half title, title, dedication, advert, i - viii, 212pp + viii Index. profusely illustrated in b/w etchings throughout. There is a note in a contemporary hand which says that the following information is from the Grenville Library, that this is the first edition of the Plates and The "leaves of the Election are only found in the first edition". Election is one of the chapters in the book. The contents are crisp and clean. FINE.
