Grimm's Fairy Tales

Humphrey Milford/Oxford University Press, reprint 1933. Hardback – publisher’s cloth with gilt decoration to front board, top edge gilt, front endpaper illustration – in slipcase with title to spine and decoration to front panel. 346pp plus mounted colour plates. 9.25 x 7 inches approx. Slipcase rubbed and worn with some marks and staining; splitting to joints at lower corners of mouth. Cloth covers dulled and marked; some heavy foxing to preliminary and final pages; scattered foxing/spotting throughout, quite noticeable in places, but generally pages reasonably clean; edges of page-block tanned and spotted; a few pages poorly cut to edges. Further images of this book can be found here at my website. Overall, showing wear otherwise remains a reasonably nice copy and unusual to find with slipcase.

Originally published in 1913 as a more sumptuous looking book, this copy being a later printing but still nicely produced and with the full complement of twenty-three colour plates.
