Original Screenprint. One of an edition of 60 signed, numbered and dated by the author/artist. This copy designated 'Printer's proof'. Glasgow: Glasgow Print Studio 2007. Printed on Somerset Satin White (300 gsm). Image Height 58.7cm x Width 30.1cm. Paper Height 76cm x Width 56.5cm. The screenprint shows the image of a male head with a snake emerging from beneath his hair and coiling above his head. The snake holds a yellow egg in its mouth. The artist has included within the coil his own poem 'From the Soul's Proper Loneliness'. The image is printed in black, yellow and blue inks. Inscriptions 'Printer's proof, Alasdair Gray' handwritten in pencil bottom left of image; '12.10.2007' handwritten in pencil bottom right of image'.

Fine copy, apart from four small areas on rear of sheet where acid free mounting tape has been professionally removed (only noticeable if viewed from rear).
