Published: Printed for Longman, Hurst, Rees, Orme and Brown, London

Date: 1819 - 1819

Excursions in the County of Norfolk: Comprising a brief historical and topographical delineation of every town and village; together with descriptions of the residences of the nobility and gentry, Remains of Antiquity, and every other interesting object of curiosity. Forming a complete Guide for the Traveller and Tourist. Illustrated with One Hundred Engravings, including Map of the County. Half leather bindings with marbled boards, red leather title label with gilt lettering and extensive gilt design to the spine. In good to very good condition, especially considering their age, with some dryness to hinges but all still very firm, rubbing to boards, edges and corners. Both spines a little dry but apart from some dulling to the gilt, mainly at the top of Volume I they are still quite a smart pair of books. Internally with some mild to moderate foxing, a few pages with dents to the edges and about ten in Volume I with old worm holes but no tears or inscriptions, both maps with age toning and a few marks but no tears or creases. Previous owner's neat inscription to both front endboards: 'Anne Gertrude Toller, The gift of Mr Dallinger'. iv, 224pp/198pp.
