Provenance
Thomas Matthews (1848-1929) took over Thomas Roper's chemist's business in Man of Ross House in Ross [on-Wye], Herefordshire ca. 1876 where he remained trading until about 1914. Listed as dispensing chemist, druggist & dentist in Kelly's Directory of Herefordshire 1891.
