Fine modern binding in quarter-red Morocco. Marbled end papers. xv, 476pp., aquatint frontispece and 69 (of 70) plates. (Holyhead Wake missing). Interior bright with no foxing. A near-fine example.

Pugh (1761-1813) was born in Rhuthun but spent much of his working life in London. This volume contains lively illustrations and interesting stories, benefitting from Pugh's insights as a Welsh-speaking Welshman.
