Title page and 91 coloured maps, 2 uncoloured maps and a plan of Pondichery. Some light staining to the page edges. Some of the maps are folded. The Precis which is bound in first - [iv] pages, then printed in double columns which are numbered - xxxix, [i], 240 columns, then 5 unnumbered pages and the final page is blank. The pages are lightly browned throughout, heavier in places. Staining to the page edges throughout also. The front free end paper is very heavily creased and there is a hole through it, the half title and title page of the Precis. The half title page is also heavily creased. Bound in what are probably the original paper covered boards, now browned and stained - missing the spine. The Precis is dated 1791 and the Atlas 1792.
