Published in 1949, this is the British First Edition of this classic play by Tennessee Williams, famously filmed in 1951 in the movie of the same name starring Vivien Leigh and Marlon Brando. This example comes with the Rare and Unique Original Brass Printers Plate that was used for the books spine titling, the book retains its dustjacket with its design by Biro, the jacket has some mild edge marking, some strengthening with a couple of tape repairs to rear of jacket, mild browning to endpapers, mild foxing to outer page edges else in nice general condition. A very collectable unique Tennessee Williams item
