This is a fascinating Original Manuscript book kept by the Queens Harbour Master, a Pilots Log Book recording all the vessels that were guided through the Solent, Spithead into Dock, including Prussian Frigates etc, the book commences on Sunday March 21st 1869, and finishes on 21st July 1869 running to fifty used pages, all fifty pages are fully used except the final leaf, front endpaper lists the Pilot’s boat crew as Arthur Trimnell,!, Charles Lewis, Robert Hibbs and Samuel Rodgers, packed with interesting information on the various ships coming in to dock, including Prussian Frigates, etc book is bound in an old half leather binding measuring 32cm by 21cm approx. Cover has general rubbing with mild loss to the leather at spine ends, internally creasing to some pages else in good general condition
