VICTORIA HALL HAND DECORATED PAPERS
Contact: Victoria Hall
Hill Farm House, London Street, Whissonsett, Dereham, Norfolk, NR20 5ST
E: victoria@hand-decorated-papers.com W: www.hand-decorated-papers.com
T: 01328 701381
Specialisms: Victoria Hall began making decorated paper professionally in the late 1980s. The range of pattern styles made in her central Norwich studio has continued to expand, and highly original fancy paste papers in rich colours and striking designs show that there's much more to this field than replication of the past. She supplies directly to her clients, most of whom are in the bookbinding profession - individuals, firms and institutions across the globe. Commissions for new designs have included work for numerous Fine Press limited editions. Decorative paper items (greetings cards, hand-bound journals etc) are also produced in the studio, alongside specialities such as 'Ebru' (marbled flowers and motifs) and 'paper patchworks' which feature in occasional exhibitions. The studio's major project at present is the making of custom designed papers for the Highgrove Florilegium, a sumptuous hand-bound edition of 175 copies which records plants grown in the garden at Highgrove. It's an appropriate way for Victoria to be marking her twentieth year in business, having received support from The Prince's Trust in 1989.
